Volunteering at the 2018 UCI Road World Championships
This collection of talented and motivated individuals from countries and cultures around the world supports major sporting events taking place in Tirol. Around a quarter of the team’s volunteers come from outside Austria, while a third give up their time while holding down a job. Many travel long distances and even take time off work to volunteer at mega-events such as the 2018 UCI Road World Championships in Innsbruck-Tirol. Why not try a holiday with a twist this year and sign up as a volunteer when the world’s best roadbike riders gather in Tirol this September?
Final chance to sign up as a volunteer for the UCI Road World Championships
The volunteer registration phase for the UCI Road World Championships closes on 15 April. Those who sign up will be assigned to one of the many working areas from Logistics and IT Support to Sport, Social Media and Hospitality – there really is something for everyone. One of the most in-demand and important roles during the event will be that of the course marshals, who will help the local police ensure the race routes are safe at all times. Volunteers receive professional training, including team-building sessions, as well as branded volunteer clothing and meals during their shifts. Once the event has concluded every volunteer receives a certification of participation and an invitation to the big thank-you party.
