Take on the KRONE Ride to Höll at the 2018 UCI Road World Championships
One day before the Men Elite 2018 UCI World Champion is crowned in Innsbruck-Tirol (Austria), non-professional cyclists will have the chance to ride the same roads as the stars. The KRONE Ride to Höll on 29 September will see exactly 2018 amateurs take on a short but sharp course starting in the heart of Innsbruck and climbing the infamous Höttinger Höll to finish above the city.
With sections of up to 28%, the Höttinger Höll is the steepest climb at the 2018 UCI Road World Championships and likely to be the place where the Men Elite Road Race is decided. Italian Vincenzo Nibali, one of the hot favourites for Worlds victory in September, has already been to Tirol to carry out a recon of the final lap, including the ride up the Höttinger Höll. His verdict? “This climb reminds me of a mountain bike climb!”
Those wishing to discover what Nibali means, and compare their time up the Höttinger Höll with those of the pros, can enter the KRONE Ride to Höll. Registration opens today and is limited to 2018 participants.
